Nathan Donation

The Nathan Foundation, here represented by
Ed Nabb at left, sponsors the Nathan's
free sails at Cambridge special events.

Fact: Wooden boats require a lot of work and a lot of expense to keep them in top condition, whether under engine or sail power. Fuel, paint and servicing costs continue to escalate, as do the needs of the boat as she ages. Even teenage vessels like the Nathan begin to show their age and require major overhauls.

The Dorchester Skipjack Committee, which owns, operates and maintains the skipjack Nathan of Dorchester, is an all-volunteer organization. Our volunteers work very hard to keep our operating expenses as low as possible so that virtually all donations to the organization, unless otherwise designated, go into the maintenance and repairs of the boat.

(Choptank Heritage Skipjack Race donations are used specifically for the race and to further the survival of the skipjack dredge boats.)

The Dorchester Skipjack Committee, Inc., is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Your donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

We greatly appreciate your support for the Nathan of Dorchester. Donate quickly, easily and securely using the button at right. Donations also may be made payable and mailed to:
